Needling for therapeutic reasons

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a Chinese medical technique that has been used for at least 3000 years to treat health problems and to maintain health.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine single-use needles into specific points on the body. At times there is no sensation and other times people report feeling an aching or tingling sensation that soon dissipates. The insertion of the needle influences the Qi (also known as life-force or vital energy) that flows through the body in channels or meridians. By stimulating points that are specific to the client, it can promote the Qi to flow harmoniously thus restoring the body back to health. Acupuncture can be used in the treatment of all conditions as every condition is due to a disturbance in the flow of Qi.

"So sometimes things are ahead and sometimes they are behind;
Sometimes breathing is hard, sometimes it comes easily;
Sometimes there is strength, and sometimes weakness;
Sometimes one is up and sometimes down

Therefore the wise avoid extremes, excesses, and complacency."
